Challenge | This client was unsure what he was looking for. I was his first experience working with a designer. The initial goal of Tripleee was to project a warm and refined upscale image for his first homes. The challenge was to attract buyers who were self-made business owners and professionals looking to reap the rewards of their success.
Solution | A soft and warm elegance reflecting the interiors of Tripleee homes became the trademark. This project evolved into a corporate identity system for all communications from business cards to advertising and signage.
Result | Resulted in a regionally recognized brand that reflected the quality of their luxury homes. This brand awareness and refined design aesthetic led to increased traffic through home models, and contributed to substantial sales growth.

Buying a home is already an ultra complex process. I was tasked to make the data less intimidating and much more user friendly and filled with easy to digest information.

 

Challenge | Tasked to create marketing booklet that would stand above the mass of Realtors.

Solution | Created a compelling design in the form of an 18 page booklet with a warm infographic style of presenting complex data. Output was from my studio printer on cold press white paper. Provided unity between both sides of the Real Estate transaction.

Result | This piece of the Realtors marketing package was well regarded among her peers. Eased process of educating her clients about important aspects of selling or buying a home.

illustrationThis project was given to me from Capstone Records for Dr. Jeri-Mae Astolfi. I was given much creative freedom to explore. The CD is a compilation of the work of many contemporary composers as interpreted by Jeri-Mae, a modernist piano performer and university professor. My inspiration came from the music and performances recorded. I created the cover illustrations to capture both the complexity of the music the collaboration of composers and performer and the title.

Challenge | Visually describe music/performance for Jeri-Mae G. Astolfi. Create Jewel Case, CD and 16 page booklet insert design.
Solution | Establish a collaborative, working relationship with remote stakeholders. Created mockups. Take project from concept to final hand-off of press ready files.
Result | Completed project with accolades from client. Project went to press and is distributed through retail channels. Client artistic profile and visibility were enhanced, leading to sales of new project.

Daric Elmer

Daric Elmer Music //
Identity & CD launch

Created complete identity system for Daric including photography, web site design/develop (WordPress CMS, HTML, CSS), graphic design for business cards, site, poster and CD. Inspiration for this rustic, gritty design came from Daric's impassioned songwriting, his music and his grandfather's barn.

Challenge | I was directed to create an identity for Daric from scratch. A burgeoning writer/musician, Daric asked for a solution that could be used to launch a new CD, but that would also become a visual that would reflect both his personality and music.

Solution | His photo shoot was first priority, followed by a logo, then design. Photos were reviewed/signed off for use. Photo processing came next, then cycling through several designs until the right one was discovered.

Result | Client visibility increased, thereby improving bookings, eventually leading to a music director position at his church. Daric was pleased with all aspects of the design project

A Light Unto the World //

Visual story telling is the theme of this project. I was entrusted to create a narrative design using all my fine art and technical skills to create this these pieces. From initial concept all the way to deliverables, this was a very fun project for me. I was given the title, and based on the story, had free reign to run with it. There is a wonderful combination of design, typography and illustration that was very satisfying for me.

Challenge | Satisfy need for to create a design reflecting the essence of a story/script. Communicating important information - when, where, who, what.
Solution | Primarily worked with the program director. Design needed to work both as a poster and a play program. Illustrated imagery based upon the script with a double entendre of Christian light and spotlight.
Result | As part of the many other programs and activities offered, church awareness in neighborhood increased - play was well attended. Led to increased attendance in regular church attendance. Patrons and church staff were very pleased with the flyer.
